The WDB NNJ staff are responsible for implementing all Board policies and ensuring that the organization's mission, vision, and strategic priorities are aligned with the needs of the stakeholders. The WDB NNJ Staff work closely with various partners, such as social services organizations, education and training providers, chambers of commerce, industry groups, state and federal agencies, and others. The WDB NNJ staff foster cooperation and coordination among these partners to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the workforce delivery system.

Beth Rodgers

Executive Director

Beth leads the coordination of workforce development initiatives, fosters partnerships, engages with stakeholders for strategic planning and secures funding to develop and implement effective solutions to address the workforce needs of Morris, Sussex and Warren counties. Responsibilities include oversight of the One-Stop system, managing the budget and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Diane Paz

Director of Operations & Planning

Diane works closely with the board, the executive director, the commissioner’s office, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals, objectives, and performance measures with the federal, state, and local requirements and priorities. She executes the procurement of the career service provider, the One-Stop Operator, and the Youth providers. Diane develops and updates policies based on local area needs. In addition, she oversees the research, analysis, and reporting of labor market information, workforce trends, best practices, monitoring and emerging opportunities.

Kimberly Colgan

Contract Compliance & Business Engagement Specialist

Kimberly engages with area businesses, non-profit organizations, and government entities to support their ability to develop and retain a competitive workforce by identifying skill gaps and extending funding for hiring and training initiatives. She shares her apprenticeship expertise with jobseekers and employers for career pathway opportunities that support advancement and retention which assists in building a successful and thriving workforce.

Karen M. Lauridsen

Executive Assistant

Karen is responsible for managing all board business/governance and is the liaison to the board and internal and external stakeholders. Karen provides high-level administrative support to the executive director, board members and the board chair. She is responsible for managing the board's calendar, preparing, and distributing board materials, and taking minutes of board meetings. She also handles special projects and issues of confidential and sensitive information.
